Palmistry Hands

I had came across lots of palmistry hands in recent times and they really stood out to me so I thought it would be cool to work with these in some way for the final label of Hellfire. I thought that using ancient symbols and mythogy, I could somehow link the two, expecially with the name being Hellfire. I decided to take a closer look at some of the meanings.

Palmistry or chiromancy (also spelled cheiromancy, Greek kheir (χεῖρ, ός), “hand”; manteia (μαντεία, ας), “divination”), is the art of characterization and  foretelling the future through the study of the palm, also known as palm reading, orchirology. The practice is found all over the world, with numerous cultural variations. Those who practice chiromancy are generally called palmists, palm readers, hand readers, hand analysts, or chirologists.

Tortured faces are shown at his feet. A Man and woman are shackled to him, with heavy chains and seem as if they are trying to escape

This card is another of those which people associate with difficulty and fear, however you will see from the meanings below that this is definitely not always the case.

alchemy symbols

Alchemical symbols, originally devised as part of alchemy, were used to denote some elements and some compounds until the 18th century. Note that while notation like this was mostly standardized, style and symbol varied between alchemists, so this page lists the most common.
