OUGD404 // Type and Gird // Further Research

I decided to look back over the powerpoint we had in the type and grid seminar before starting my layouts just to give me a little bit more knowledge and inspiration...

A quick review of the anatomy of type on the original letterpress blocks.

Comparing personalities to Type. Which type suits that person?

Again, we look at which type is relevant to the subject.

The circus style type, The chiselled serif type for the ancient rom stone type and the thick serif for the hard steel.

Matching typefaces to shoes, another interesting experiment.

Now, heres some more gird and layout research from the seminar...

Many different layouts for the same type and information.

Rough layouts, that still work nicely.

Really nice thumbnail designs. They look pretty much exactly like the final digital article layout.

Examples of grids.
